Bold Beautiful Bison Bonanza
Is this even possible!?
I hear that all the time when we show pics of BIG buffalo. When fellow hunters see you alongside a SUPER TROPHY class bull, they are going to swear you must be several feet behind it. Not true! These beasts are a sight to behold. Nobody considtently kills bigger bulls than Jim River Guide Service.
This is Jordan's 3rd SUPER TROPHY BULL, 4th if you count his daughter's...AND YOU HAVE TO! Hunting with your kid is one of the most stalwart bonding experiences. Hunting American bison, when done proper, can become addicting.
From where we blew the first stalk, to the place we got the first bullet into this mountain of a buffalo was over 3.5 miles!
We hunt big country. These animals can, and sometimes do, go a loonnngggg way before or after the first shots. Jordan did a fantastic job of shooting to put this beast down and finish the job with several shots from his fav 300 Weatherby Mag.
Count on lots of laughter, enthusiasm, and a bucket of fantastic attitudes when Jordan and his pal Steele show up to a hunting camp. I am fortunate to have had them here at JRGS multiple times.
MEAT BULL
Jeff is a survivor! He's beat cancer a few times and a few heart surgeries but loves life too much to stop moving!
Bison hunts, when done proper, are as American as baseball and apple pie...except about a thousand times more thrilling! It would be a shame to not do it at least once-people will think you haven't really done it all if you don't do bison...do it right.
We thought we were within a half-mile of where we would come in contact with these buffalo grazing across the prairie. Once we got where we were headed, we realized the buffalo had moved another 3/4 of a mile away from us. That did not deter Jeff.

That is a winner's attitude.
And he did. Every time I looked back, he was there. When we finally got our chance, Jeff did a spectacular job putting the beast down with just a few shots from his 300 Win Mag. These buffalo are tough. Jeff did a great job putting it in the bag. Congratulations Jeff.
