I have had the honor of having Mike Fifer (CEO of Ruger Firearms), members of the NYPD, a Mayor of Tijuana, and several hunters from the FBI, CIA, and The Pentagon, a group of Chicago Firefighters, a Top Gun Pilot, 9 Time World Champion MMA Fighter, and a lot of “regular Joe’s” as clients in the past. I am proud of my operation. I have found that by providing a list of ALL of last year’s clients, inquirers know they are getting a complete representation of my clients and not just names and numbers of the happy clients that have been hand picked by me to tell you how great I am. I would encourage you to phone many of these guys and ask them any questions that you feel are important in making your decision to hunt with me. If you are satisfied with their answers, give me a call and we will go ahead with setting up your hunt.
You should not consider booking a hunt with an outfitter before you speak with all of the hunters who have hunted at the same time and place during the previous season. It is important to know ahead of time what you are getting for your money. It is important to know the name of the individual who will accompany you in the field. I am proud of the attention I give my clients before, during, and after the hunt. **Most importantly, don't consider booking a hunt with anyone that is not willing to give you the names and numbers of all the clients from the previous season.**

Our group just returned from a May 2011 visit to South Dakota and Willie Dvorak of Jim River Guide Service. I brought two new shooters this visit and they had a great time as did the two of us who have visited Willie several times over the last decade. As usual, Willie presented us with a great hunting opportunity. One of the newbies made a great shot at 644 yards and all of us had a great shooting experience. In past years, we have combined prairie dog hunting with pheasant hunting and Willie provided a spectacular hunt combining the varmint hunting and game birds. We tried some other guides over the years before connecting with Willie's Jim River Guide Service and none other have provided a comparable experience -- I can recommend his expertise and professionalism without reservations.

Unless other arrangements are made, I will be your guide. In a perfect world, an employee would care about the business as much as the owner. Unfortunately, we don't live in a perfect world. I do all of my own guiding unless other arrangements are made. It is comforting for you to know that the guy who is cashing your check (me) is the same guy who will accompany you in the field (me). I put my reputation on the line every time I cash a check. If you have ever paid a lot of money for a guided hunt only to be sent out with a sub-par(drunk/lazy/brother-in-law that just lost his job/etc) guide, you will know why this is so important. If you haven't ever experienced being assigned to a poor guide, you will probably take your chances until you do.....then you will insist on hunting with the owner.
